Ocean City is celebrating the change of seasons with OC Museum Week! The event kicks off with the Ocean City Life-Saving Station Museum’s 3rd annual Historic House Tour, commencing on Sunday, October 10th, from 10 am to 4 pm. Tour some of the area’s oldest and most beautiful homes, churches and vintage architecture. A docent will guide you through the stories that surround each unique building and property in Ocean City. Then, on Monday, October 11th, visit the museum for that perfect fall family photo! The Ocean City Life-Saving Station Museum will host an autumn-worthy display of pumpkins, hay and fall blossoms in front of the museum’s shark exhibit, replete with a photographer. Get your group or individual photo taken by a member of the museum’s staff on the boardwalk! Register for the free Preserving the Past program scheduled for Wednesday, October 13th. Learn how to curate and store your family photo albums and historic documents with help from Assistant Curator Cara Downey and Local History Librarian Alec Staley. During history week, enjoy FREE admission to the museum and don’t forget to check out Saturday’s special trip down memory lane with a cast of characters from Ocean City’s past, played artfully by the Ocean Pines Players. Meet the city’s first doctor, Dr. Townsend, and Zippy Lewis, Ocean City’s very own merchant of shipwreck remains!
